Intuit has decided to go the "software as a service" route, so I decided to upgrade my version that still works like a charm , to the last non-subscription version of QB, as a precaution. This works for us because we do not use any of the online services that Intuit bundles with a DT Pro subscription.
This item was not new. This item was registered in Intuit by Sanvine company and the CD arrived in a plain white envelope. Remember the sealed plastic box that all other Intuit CD's come in that are sealed. Not this one. The seller did give me the license number in an email that arrived a few days before the CD and I am able to use the software but it is registered to Sanvine.
After install F2 key reveals it was installed on January 10 After a couple of hours on tech support with Intuit I was finally able to register the product to me but what a nightmare hassel. I already have several other monthly software subscriptions and was so happy to get the desktop version of QuickBooks so I could avoid adding yet another online service bill.
I think it's a shame so many companies have gone to the "software as a service" model to get more of our money out of us. That's my soapbox and I'm sticking to it!
